About Me

My name is Stephen Brennan. I was born and raised in South Omaha (the 34th and J area) and my father worked at the stockyards. I went to Rosenblatt Stadium to watch games. Played grade school championship baseball games there. Played high school championship baseball games there. Rosenblatt is deeply ingrained into my memory as anything else. But I believe we need to stop looking at the past and start looking to the future. I, for one, want to see the CWS stay in Omaha forever and we aren’t going to get that done by letting nostalgia rule. I support the new downtown stadium for the CWS and ask you to join me in doing so.
I’m the founder and president of Peak Performance Consultants here in Omaha and a former educator and college basketball coach with Masters degrees in Educational Administration and Sport Psychology, and a Doctorate in Performance and Health Psychology.
My company specializes in motivation and education, including teaching mental preparation and performance enhancement strategies to athletes, coaches, educators and business people.
I’m the author of Six Psychological Factors for Success, The Mental Edge: Basketball’s Peak Performance Workbook (3rd Ed.), The Recruiters Bible (3rd Ed.), and the four volume set of Inside Recruiting™: The Master Guide to Successful College Athletic Recruiting. And I conduct corporate workshops in motivation and performance enhancement and been a featured speaker at coaches clinics nationwide, talking on the mental aspect of coaching and competition.
I’m the executive director of The Recruiters Institute™, the director of The Recruiters Library™, and the founder and executive director of the Midwest Youth Coaches Association, as well as the President and CEO of The Center for Performance Enhancement Research and Education™ (CPERE), and the Executive Director of the National Association of College Athletic Recruiters™ (NACAR)
