Statement of Support
We believe building a new downtown stadium as proposed by the CWS Oversight Committee is the best option for the City of Omaha to keep the CWS in Omaha for the long-term. As such, the following people support that recommendation.

I support Mayor Fahey and the Stadium Committee to build a new downtown ballpark in Omaha to house the College World Series beginning in 2011 and for years to come.

I support the construction of a new downtown stadium for the College World Series.
March 17th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
If they can tear down Yankee Stadium, then we can tear down Rosenblatt. I support a new stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
I am all for the new stadium. We have spent enough money repairing Rosenblatt its time to start new.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
I support building a new stadium downtown to lock up a long-term CWS contract.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
It’s Fahey’s vision that will help secure the College World Series and the Omaha Royals for future generations to come. I fully support this project.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
Many of the same arguements were brought up during the debate for the Qwest and look how undfounded they turned out to be. Short sightedness by those afraid of any and all change or those with an ecomic interest in staying at the Blatt should not be allowed cost Omaha the CWS. Go Mike, and get that new downtown park built!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
I support the mayor of Omaha and the committee that recommended building a new stadium in downtown.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
I support the new Downtown Stadium

I support the Downtown Ballpark, The mayor and his staium group, and all infrastructure involved with building the stadium.
BUILD IT!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Come on, Omaha. Change is tough, but look what the Qwest Center has done for us. Let’s start looking like the fabulous 21st century city that we are.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
I think that this is a great idea and will certainly help to keep the CWS in Omaha much longer into the future over a short-sighted Rosenblatt renovation.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
I support the mayor and keeping the CWS for many years to come.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Build it. Don’t be intimidated by the vocal minority. Be progresive Omaha. Thank you Mayor Fahey.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
I fully support the mayor’s vision of building a new ballpark downtown. We must remain a progressive city to keep the College World Series in Omaha.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
I support the new ballpark and keeping the CWS where it belongs.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
All factors considered, new DT stadium, as proposed, is most prudent course of action.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
The only way to keep the CWS is to build the new stadium. I applaud Omaha for finally starting to make attempts to be a destination for travelers. I support the new stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Build a new stadium and lock up the CWS for another 25 years!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
I suport this project
March 17th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Grow, Grow, Grow the city, gently by the stream. Build it and they will come again and again!!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
60 years ago they complained of Rosenblatt’s construction and look now. Build it and they will come. All for the new stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
I am in total support of Mayor Fahey and his plan to build a new downtown stadium by the Qwest Center to keep the CWS in Omaha on a long-term basis.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
I am 100% in favor of building a new downtown stadium. Rosenblatt has been a wonderful venue for many years, and has served its purpose for Omaha. However, it’s time to move on and progress as a city!

March 17th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
I am all for a new downtown stadium, Rosenblatt has done it’s time…
March 17th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
Thanks for providing this site. I am completely in favor of building a new downtown stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
It comes down to a new ballpark downtown or rebuilding where it is. Build a new one. I am in favor of a new baseball park downtown.
Rosenblatt is a dump and most that want to keep it either live in south Omaha or never go to baseball in the first place.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Those who are opposed to the new stadium have obviously not taken the time to read Mayor Fahey’s proposal or learn anything about the NCAA’s stance.
Building a new ballpark is the only viable and financially sound option to ensure we can continue to host the CWS – an event that greatly adds to our economy, national image, and local culture – for longer than just the next 5 years.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
I don’t want to see Omaha lose the CWS. People need to realized that Rosenblatt will not last forever.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
This is the right thing to do. Omaha needs to do what is right for its customer, the NCAA, and further enhance south Omaha and the Zoo.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
I support the new stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
I absolutely support the downtown stadium!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
I support the new downtown stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
It is time for the City to move forward. I support the new stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
I support the new downtown stadium
March 17th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
It is time for a change . . . let’s build it and keep people coming to Omaha NE.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Building a new downtown stadium gives great potential to the City of Omaha. It will provide for the expansion of the Zoo or another project at Rosenblatt’s current site. It will provide a great new home to the CWS and Omaha Royals and it will become another destination point along the riverfront. There will always be resistance by a small minority with any project…I was skeptical in the beginning. Today I am convinced there is not a downside to this project. This project will not only benefit Omaha, but the entire state of NE.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
I fully support Mayor Fahey and a new downtown stadium!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
I support the new stadium
March 17th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
The Downtown stadium is the right choice to keep the CWS in Omaha, to spur further Downtown development, and to improve Omaha’s national image. I support the mayor’s vision for Omaha’s future!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Git R Done!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
I fully support a new stadium being built downtown. I’ve been going to the CWS since 1968 and look forward to another 40 years. Rosenblatt was a great venue, but it is time for a change.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
I support this project. It makes great sense for downtown and the zoo area.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
I’m glad that the majority is now getting a voice!! Thanks for having pride in your city and being visionaries.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
It’s time to look at whats best for the long-term success of this city. We need to support the new stadium and downtown growth.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Thank you, Mayor Fahey, for thinking about the future of Omaha. I fully support building the new downtown stadium.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
I support the stadium, the mayor, the benefits of north and south downtown directly and the rest of omaha that would spur indirectly. I support any type of tax to get this going (I know property tax is out of the question). I support the vision and leadership this city has shown us the last 15 years and how far they have taken us from the dust bowl that we were in the eighties to a happening city that we are now. I support the opionions of the mega-donors to this project, who have invested substantially to this city for many years and tip my hat to them. I support everyone in the city of Omaha as well as the CWS. If I didn’t support ANY of these then I wouldn’t have signed…
March 17th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
We have an opportunity to create an absolute gem downtown, keep the CWS for years and enhance the Zoo. It is a real winner for Omaha.
March 17th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Build it!
